This tour will be very exciting for both of hill-tribe and culture lovers who want to rough it for a while in Vietnam. A combination of adventure ( soft trekking, elephant riding , dugout …) and exploring the Central area with its many world heritages will give visitors quite a strong experiences. Another attraction of the tour is being special guest at out-of-way villages of the J’rai and Bahnar minority tribes. With secluded villages of the hill tribes and the irresistible allure of the world heritage of Hoi An left behind, visitors will amaze with the bustle of Ho Chi Minh City making the trip complete with unforgettable moments.
Day 1: ARRIVAL IN DANANG - HUE
Arrival at Danang airport. Pick up and overland to Hue – the first World Heritage site recognized by UNESCO in Vietnam ( 110 km ). Admire beautiful landscapes on the road through the Hai van Pass with panoramic views of clouds, the sea and the mountains. Transfer to hotel. O/N in Hue .( B )
Day 2 : HUE
In the morning, a sightseeing tour includes: boat ride on Perfume River visit to Thien Mu Pagoda. Then coach to visit the Imperial Citadel , built in 1804 on a site chosen in accordance with the principles of geomancy, and the Dong Ba Market, famous for its best conical hats in Vietnam. In the afternoon, visit the tomb of King Tu Duc ( ruled 1848-1883 ) and King Khai Dinh (ruled 1916-1925). The monuments, designed by the kings themselves,were also used as holiday retreats during their lifetime. Evening: enjoy the traditional folk song on boat. O/N in Hue. ( B, L, D )
Day 3 : HUE - DANANG - HOI AN
Enjoy the day trip to explore the World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO. First, overland to Danang. Visit to Cham Sculpture Museum where a variety of ancient sculpted articles is displayed. Then travel onwards to visit Hoi An ancient town, a centuries-old town with ancient houses, temples,markets and handicraft workshops. O/N in Hoi an. ( B, L, D)
Day 4 : HOI AN – DANANG – PLEIKU - KONTUM
Spend a visiting the stone-carving village of Non Nuoc until transfer to Danang airport for a short flight to Pleiku. On arrival , pick up and transfer to Kontum ( 50 km )- a virgin land with pristine nature and intact hill-tribe culture. An afternoon city tour includes a wooden cathedral ( built in 1918) and a tribal exhibition at Kontum Monastery (built 1935). Then transfer to KonKlo suspension bridge for trekking to Bahnar tribe village of Konktu. Stop by a white sandy bank circled by hills, forests and clear water for swimming. Enjoy a gong show at communal house where villagers in traditional dress dance around the bonfire. O/N in Kontum. ( B, L, D)
Day 5 : KONTUM – BUON MA THUOT
In the morning, transfer to Buon Ma Thuot ( 250 km ). Visit to a hill- tribe exhibition and Dray Sap Falls. O/N in Buon Ma Thuot. ( B, L, D)
Day 6 : BUON MA THUOT – HO CHI MINH CITY
In the morning, make an excursion to Lake Lak. Enjoy an elephant ride through villagers of M’nong tribe ( 01 hours ) and dug-out canoe ride on Lake Lak. In the afternoon, transfer to airport for short flight to Ho Chi Minh City ( HCMC ). O/N in HCMC . ( B, L, D)
Day 7 : DEPARTURE FROM HO CHI MINH CITY
City tour features the former Independence Palace ( Reunification Hall ), Binh Tay Market in Chinatown, lacquer workshops. Spend the last minutes for downtown shopping ( embroidery, lacquerware, wood-carvings …) or at leisure before check out and transfer to airport for departure. ( B ) |
